Battery-contact fault correction on an M645, including terminal restoration.

Symptomes

• Battery check lights intermittently
• The lamp may come back when the battery is moved
• Electrical intermittent-contact behavior at the battery compartment

Diagnostic

• The - terminal showed oxidation / corrosion
• The + terminal had lost the small cork piece that limits its mechanical deformation

Actions

1. + terminal: added a small piece of cork to limit deformation and stabilize contact.
2. - terminal: polished the contact with P1000 abrasive paper.
3. Final cleaning with isopropyl alcohol.

Resultat

The contact became stable again. When manipulating the battery and shaking the body, the intermittent contact no longer appears and battery check responds normally.
