Procedure for checking curtain capping at fast speeds.
Objectif
Check for the absence of capping or unwanted bands at fast speeds.
Prerequis
- Uniform scene
- Fixed aperture
- Prioritize tests at
1/500and1/1000
Etapes
- Shoot a series of images under constant conditions.
- Compare the images on negative or scan.
- Look for abnormal bands, gradients, or exposure differences.
- If needed, repeat over several rolls or several short series.
Vigilance
The test must remain comparable from one frame to the next so any defects can be read clearly.
Validation
- No unwanted band
- No abnormal gradient
- Curtains appear consistent at the tested speeds
